Safety Services Manitoba offers a full complement of Corporate Driving courses, covering topics from transporting dangerous goods to ATV safety - and everything in between!

Road safety courses include:


All Season Corporate Driving Package (Full day - $349)
This package combines the Corporate Defensive Driving Course, Winter/All Season Driving Course and the In-Car Driver Assessment to deliver the ultimate training experience and evaluation. Spend the morning in an interactive classroom session and the afternoon learning proactive techniques with SSM's state-of-the-art Skid Car and receiving professional evaluations. This package can be tailored to meet your company needs.


Class 4 Driver Preparation (4 hours - $150)
Designed for employees responsible for transporting up to 24 passengers. This course addresses defensive driving techniques, operating a vehicle with passengers as well as pre-trip circle checks. Driver evaluations provided upon request.

Corporate Defensive Driving (2 hours - $50 / 4 hours - $75 /  6 hours - $105)
Reduce your insurance costs to company vehicles by training your employees in defensive driving. This interactive classroom session includes preventing collisions, driver attitude, impairments as well as managing time and space inside and outside the vehicle. The intent of the classroom component is that students reflect on their own driving and identify existing habits to correct and new habits to adopt to improve their driving.

Driving the Brand (Half day - $95 / Full day - $125)

This course is designed for fleet operators using company vehicles on public roads. It will educate your drivers about the value of the corporate brand and how their driving skill, attitude and behaviour can affect the public perception of their employer.

Topics covered include: driver complacency, road rules refresher, managing driver attitude and behaviour, employee responsibilities as corporate fleet operators, how drivers affect brand perceptions.

The full-day course also includes best practices for corporate fleet drivers.

Driver Evaluations/Assessments (1 hour - $65)
Determine your employees’ confidence, knowledge and skills while on the road in company vehicles. This course will provide a professional, unbiased written evaluation and assessment of all employees or prospective employees driving company vehicles. Includes updated traffic laws, defensive driving and vehicle control, practical skills while driving and areas for improvement and future training requirements. Additional driving lessons are available upon request.

Winter/All Season Driving (4 hours - $295)
Improve your winter driving skills by attending this practical, hands-on course that teaches the basics for winter driving as well as evasive techniques for skid control and ice and winter road conditions. Drive our state-of-the-art training vehicle and learn valuable driving skills to better prepare you for Manitoba's icy, snow-covered roads.

ATV or Snowmobile Training - Classroom (Half day - $75) 

The half day classroom course covers all aspects of ATV or snowmobile riding and is ideal for beginner and novice drivers. Topics include correct operating procedures, laws governing ATVs or snowmobiles, control and steering, safety checks and appropriate attire.

ATV or Snowmobile Training - Practical (Full day - $175)

The full day ATV or snowmobile course is based on field-tested techniques and provides a fun learning environment for beginning and experienced drivers. In addition to the half day classroom course, you spend three hours on your vehicle, practicing moving off, stopping, hill climbing, braking and balance techniques and slow speed manoeuvres.

Students must provide their own ATVs or snowmobiles.

Note: ATV and snowmobile training are offered seasonally.
