Sunglasses are one of the best lines of defense against damaging radiation from sunlight. Wear lenses that are labeled 98 percent to 100 percent UV protection. Amber lenses block HEV light and newly developed lenses that incorporate synthetic melanin reduce HEV light without significant loss in color perception.
