Get Home Safe with Operation Red Nose

The decision not to drink and drive should be an easy one to make all year round, but it is especially important in the busy, party-filled holiday months.

That’s why Safety Services Manitoba and Manitoba Public Insurance are proud once again to be helping people get home safely this holiday season with Operation Red Nose.

For the 15th year in a row, dedicated volunteers in eight Manitoba communities are spending their weekends anxiously awaiting the call to action – a call that has great potential to save lives.

Reducing the number of alcohol-related injuries and deaths on our province’s roadways is a major priority for all Manitobans – and what better way to do that than take the potential for collision off the road at the busiest time of year?

If you have had a few too many sips of holiday cheer or find yourself exhausted after a late evening out, call 947-NOSE (or #NOSE on an MTS cellphone) and our volunteers will give you a safe ride home – in your own vehicle.

It’s our way of giving back, and we do it with the help of MPI, MTS, Manitoba Liquor Control Commission, Manitoba Hydro and the Winnipeg Police Service.

Operation Red Nose is free, though donations are appreciated and go directly to supporting youth sports programs in our province.
