Turn your OH&S experience into a professional designation with a unique certification program offered by Safety Services Manitoba and Safety Services Canada.
The Health and Safety Professional (HSP) Designation Certificate Program blends practical and academic training to take you to the next level in your health and safety career.
The HSP Designation Certificate includes 30 credits of mandatory and elective courses in a wide range of OH&S topics. You choose electives and complete a practical project that make the program your own. Upon completion, you can use HSP after your name like any other professional designation (CRSP, CA, etc).
To be eligible for the HSP Designation Certificate Program you must:

Hold a position or be pursuing a career in health and safety
- Be a member of SSM or another SSC provincial office (either you or your employer)
- Continue to be involved in health and safety at your workplace after you complete the program
- Commit to ongoing professional development in the OH&S field
