Courses

Motorcycle Training

Students should consider their level of ability when choosing a course. A 21-hour program is the leading course for training new riders, while an 8-hour course is the minimum requirement for achieving a Class 6 licence in Manitoba.

Both courses include:

  • Motorcycle dynamics (balance, control and steering)
  • Collision avoidance
  • Braking techniques
  • Appropriate riding attire

A 6M motorcycle license is required to take any SSM motorcycle course.

MPI provides a $162.50 rebate on registration for the 21-hour course when you complete the course successfully and pass the final skills test.
