Transportation of Dangerous Goods - Air (TTM)

Course is 2 days, not 1 day as listed. Price remains $390 per person or $900 course labour plus $205/person for materials.
Description is revised as follows:
Participants in this course will be able to apply the different steps required in the preparation of nonradioactive dangerous goods air shipments. This program familiarizes the participant with the Air Shipper regulations (which are required prior to taking the course) and their applicability. In addition, packaging and labeling requirements are discussed. Students are taught the requirements of Canadian TDG and how to complete the shippers’ declaration. The course concludes with a review of statutory training requirements, practical exercises and exam. This course includes a participant workbook, training certificate and a course accreditation.

Ergonomics of Safe Patient/Client Lifting and Handling
Certification Course (4 hours) Re-Certification Course (2 hours)

The 2-hour certification workshop is no longer available. This course is available as a 4-hour certification course or a 2-hour re-certification course. Both courses cover the same information and material (see course description on page 16 of the catalogue).
Both courses are based on the Job Demand Analysis (JDA) of the jobs at your workplace, which allows us to customize our training session to your environment and equipment. Prior to the course, we consult with management regarding specific patient handling policies and procedures, and review JDA’s that are related to jobs requiring patient/person handling. All participants are provided with reference and resource material representing best practices approved by the WRHA, SAFE Work and Manitoba Health.
Certification Course (4 hours) $1200/group
The 4-hour certification course emphasizes practical application of each lift, transfer and equipment used and the completed certification checklist. The 4-hour course allocates two hours to hands on practice with instructors. Each participant completes a checklist (initialled by the instructor) demonstrating appropriate techniques for each transfer and lift to successfully complete the course.
Re-Certification Course (2 hours) $600/group
The 2-hour Re-certification course covers the same information and material as the 4-hour course. This course is intended for individuals who have previously completed the 4-hour certification course and emphasizes theory and recently approved patient/client handling techniques.
