SSM's new Skid Car System brings the best in road safety training to Manitoba

Black ice, gravel roads, hydroplaning - how often do drivers get to practice dealing with these common hazards in a controlled situation?

SSM's Winter/All-Season Driving course gives participants hands-on practice in controlling skids. Now, SSM is upgrading its teaching vehicle with the Skid Car System, a state-of-the-art device that simulates rear and front wheel skids.

With the Skid Car System, students learn proactive and reactive skills to deal with treacherous Manitoba roads under the guidance of experienced, qualified instructors.

Winter/All Season Driving is a half-day course that includes one hour of in-class discussion and three hours of hands-on, in-vehicle instruction. New and experienced drivers alike learn and practice essential skills to avoid a collision, including scanning for potential emergencies and evasive manoeuvres.
