    Adam has been part of SSM’s team since 2009 and has trained nearly 3,000 students to date in nearly 200 courses, focusing on over two dozen topics. He also has worked with numerous companies in all industries. His prior experience as an owner of a small renovations company makes him a particularly skilled instructor in courses such as Forklift, Safety and the Supervisor, Construction Safety Representative and Ladder Safety.

    With his keen interest in solving the challenges presented by the field of occupational health and safety, Adam is a highly motivated and skilled member of SSM’s occupational safety team.

    Adam holds a Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) designation, Occupational Health and Safety Practitioner Certificate (Red River College), Health and Safety Professional (HSP) designation and Wildlife Forestry and Conservation Management Diploma (CDI College). Adam is a licensed Fire and Life Safety Educator in the Province of Manitoba a OHSMS/OHSAS 18001:2007 Accredited Lead Auditor (TPECS) and NFPA 1035 Public Fire and Life Safety Educator.

    After witnessing many preventable workplace injuries, Adam knew he wanted to get into the safety industry and make a difference.

    His strong knowledge of legal matters related to safety and health also make Adam an excellent consultant. During his time at SSM, Adam has worked with 15 companies – and counting – as a Professional Safety Consultant (formerly known as a Safety Resource Officer), providing them with services on a contract basis and helping them develop and maintain their safety programs. He was also directly involved in developing the SAFE Work Certified Auditor training program.

    Adam enjoys consulting with company leaders and assisting all individuals in the workplace with their questions and concerns. He strongly believes that a safe workplace is a great workplace – one where you’re excited to get out of bed in the morning and come to work.
