Safety Services Manitoba is proud to welcome you to our newly expanded and renovated facility.
WHO IS SAFETY SERVICES MANITOBA?
We are not-for-profit leaders in helping companies and individuals prevent loss and offer protection through health and safety training. Safety Services Manitoba provides training and consulting in occupational and road safety.
IS SSM AFFILIATED WITH MPI?
SSM is a supplier of MPI-mandated courses.
CAN SSM DESIGN CUSTOMIZED TRAINING?
Yes. We recognize that every workplace and industry is different, and SSM can customize safety training and consulting services to meet the unique needs of your organization and industry.
CAN SSM PROVIDE TRAINING SESSIONS ONSITE?
SSM offers open enrollment courses at our facility. We will also train larger groups for your organization either at our facility or yours.
WHAT DO I BRING FOR RESPIRATOR FIT TESTING APPOINTMENTS?
Bring your current respirator.
Prerequisites
- You must be clean shaven in order to be fit tested. SSM reserves the right to refuse to fit test anyone who has any facial hair.
- Please do not eat, drink, smoke, or chew gum at least 20 minutes prior to attending the fit test.
- If you are pregnant you must have your doctor’s permission prior to completing the fit test.
HOW DO I REGISTER FOR YOUR COURSES?
You can register for courses online by visiting safetyservicesmanitoba.ca and clicking “Register Now” on the home page.
You can also register by phone by calling 204.949.1085 or 1.800.661.3321, or via email at registrar@safetymb.ca. All courses must be prepaid in order to be registered.
HOW CAN I MAKE COURSE PAYMENTS?
You can pay online or over the phone using VISA, Master Card, Amex, or VISA Debit. Payment via E-transfer at eft@safetymb.ca, indicating the student and course name in the memo, is another option. You can pay debit if you register in-person during business hours. We also accept money orders or certified cheques made payable to Safety Services Manitoba sent via mail to:

WHAT ARE YOUR HOURS OF OPERATION?
Our office is open Monday to Friday from 7:30am to 4:00pm. The office is closed on weekends, evenings and statutory holidays but is open for classes and registered students only.
DO YOU OFFER OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH TRAINING COURSES IN THE EVENINGS OR WEEKENDS?
Yes, we do offer occupational safety and health training in the evenings and on weekends for group training at company-specific requests. If courses are scheduled for evenings, weekends or holidays, the instructor will be on-site to let participants into the building.
I HAVE NOT RECEIVED MY CERTIFICATE. WHAT ARE MY NEXT STEPS?
SSM promptly sends out certificates within 5- 7 business days, but usually sooner. Please double check your email and ensure you are checking your junk mail, which is where it often lands. If you still don’t have it please contact us at 204-949-1085 or registrar@safetymb.ca
