Winnipeg Sports Car Club
We support Winnipeg Sports Car Club (WSCC), High Performance Driver Education and Winnipeg Autocross. They’ve created a safe, educational, and recreational option for Manitoba car enthusiasts to pursue performance car driving. We appreciate the volunteer; non-profit nature of the program and it’s need for community support to operate effectively.
Drop Zone
For more than 100 years, Easter Seals Canada has encouraged people living with disabilities to live their lives actively, to push boundaries and overcome barriers in order to realize their dreams and fulfill their potential. Funds raised through the Drop Zone® help Easter Seals provide vital programs and services for Canadians living with disabilities.
SSM was proud to be a DropZone Elevate Sponsor for their event on Tuesday, August 20, 2024. Ron Janzen, SSM’s President & CEO rappelled from the top of the Manitoba Hydro Building – all in support of Manitobans with disabilities.
Habitat for Humanity Team Build
SSM participated in a Habitat for Humanity team build on October 24, 2024.
Habitat for Humanity Manitoba is an independent, not-for-profit charity, building affordable housing and promoting homeownership. They mobilize local volunteers, community members, donors and corporate partners, seeking to build strength, stability, and self-reliance through shelter.
Royal Manitoba Theatre Centre
We are proud to support the Royal Manitoba Theatre Centre (MTC) by purchasing tickets for our staff to attend select performances. This initiative, now in its second year, is our way of both appreciating our team and contributing to the vibrant local arts community in Winnipeg. We focus on performances that explore themes of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Reconciliation, offering opportunities for personal growth and reflection, while also encouraging a deeper connection to these important issues.
Christmas Cheer Board
The Christmas Cheer Board provides essential food hampers and holiday gifts for children, helping families living below the poverty line enjoy a brighter holiday season. Together with our office space neighbors, MASH, we are creating a special hamper for a family of nine—two parents and seven children—to ensure they have a warm and joyful celebration!
