Course Description
The Overhead Crane Awareness Training course teaches the basics of safe crane operations and common rigging and sling techniques. This Overhead Crane Awareness training will also ensure participants are familiar with pre-shift inspections to ensure faulty equipment is not used which will decrease the risks for incidents and product loss.
Overhead Crane Awareness Training includes load limits and capacity, lifting, use of chains, slings, spreader bars, grabbers, and other attachments. This course is divided into both a theory portion with a written test and a practical portion where operators will perform an inspection on the rigging equipment and operate the overhead crane in a safe training environment.

(b) train workers in the safe work procedures; and
(c) ensure that workers comply with the safe work procedures.
