Course Description
The Overhead Crane Rigging & Slinging training course teaches safe crane operation with an increased emphasis on rigging and slinging set-up, selection, and usage. This course will also include pre-shift inspections, annual inspection knowledge base requirements. Formally trained operators will increase productivity and efficiency while reducing the risk of damage to product, property, and incidents.
Overhead Crane Rigging & Slinging training includes load limits and capacity, lifting, use of chains, slings, spreader bars, grabbers,
and other attachments. This course is divided into both a theory portion with a written test and additional practical training where
operators will perform pre-use inspections of both the crane and rigging components followed by advanced rigging demonstrations
while operating the overhead crane
in a safe training environment.
