FAQs

Who can request a workshop?

Workshops are not limited to organizations or facilities. We welcome requests from community organizations, Public Health, Healthy Baby groups, group facilitators, parent groups, and other community members interested in bringing the workshop to their area.

Is there a minimum group size?

Typically we aim for class sizes of 4-20 participants. This helps ensure the workshop remains engaging and provides participants with an opportunity to ask questions and learn from the material.

Who covers travel and presentation costs?

There is no charge for the workshops, travel, or presentation costs. The program is provided free of charge to participating communities and families.

The only requirement for a community or organization requesting a workshop is that they provide a suitable space to accommodate the session and participants.

How far outside of Winnipeg can facilitators travel?

We are willing to travel throughout Manitoba, including rural and remote communities. Our goal is to make this program as accessible as possible, regardless of where families live.

Important Notice

Workshop participants will receive information and hands on guidance to help them better understand child passenger safety. Participants are also encouraged to bring their own car seats to the workshops. However, car seat inspections and installations are not a service provided at the workshops. If you are looking to have your car seat inspected or installed, please see our Car Seat Clinic Page
