Course Description

The employer, by law, shall provide a training program for each employee who operates mobile equipment (CAN/CSA B335-04) (WSHD Part 22). This course is designed for personnel who wish to train/operate and evaluate employee`s on mobile equipment.

The Telehandler training provides students with the most up-to-date knowledge to ensure a skilled and certified outcome. Documentation will be provided to the student to satisfy due diligence and local regulation compliance.

Upon completion of this course, students will be capable of safely training the operating of a Telehandler and identifying local regulations and requirements keeping in compliance to local provincial and federal regulations.

This course meets the criteria for accepted practices in OH&S training (CAN/CSA B335-04) the highest standard in the industry.

Students will demonstrate their understanding throughout the course using written and practical skill assessments.

Practical Evaluation

Participants will each drive the skid steer loader through a course set up by the instructor to test driving and load handling abilities.

Manitoba Regulation

22.29(1) No employer shall require or permit a worker to operate a powered lift truck unless the employer has issued a certificate to the worker under this section.

22.29(2) No employer shall issue a certificate to a worker to operate a powered lift truck unless the employer has first ensured that the worker.

(a) has received instruction, training and testing in the operation of the powered lift truck in accordance with a code of practice approved and issued under the Act.  CSA Standard B335-15

 

* Safety Services Manitoba along with industry best practices recommend individuals who receive the Train the Trainer program, teach the program at a minimum of at least one time per year.  Trainers must also educate themselves to any legislative changes that could affect the course material content to be trained.  Our Train the Trainer certificates expire after 3 years.
